What a wonderful first day of 2009. It is beautiful and sunny here in Arizona. It was seventy-five degrees here without a cloud in the sky. Out in the White Tank Mountains, you could see wildlife and feel a cool breeze. We had a great time with the Hughes family today shooting different guns. Brooke is an amazing shot. She fires an AK 47 and 30 ot 6 shotgun without flinching. We tried out "The Judge" revolver which fires some heavy duty bullets, along with a 357, some 22 pistols, a 22 rifle, a 12 gauge shotgun, a 40 mm gun, and some others that I am not familiar enough with yet to explain. The boys watched their sister in awe as she hit target after target with determination.
Last night, we celebrated the new year with the Godown's and Cassidy Tomao. We deep fried a turkey and had all the fixin's. We played Loaded Question and brought in the new year at midnight. The kids played Return of the Jedi and Batman on the Wii. We are lucky to have so many wonderful friends to spend time with.
