What a fun evening we had last Monday, June 14! Pete and Vicki Garcia invited us to their home to have a lesson and treats. We have so many memories there. Our first fourth of July celebration in Litchfield Park was on their pond. Brandon was still in diapers! First, the kids played a few rounds of Just Dance on the Wii and then we headed out to the pond. Vicki taught a lesson about the still small voice. The object was for P.J. to complete a trail near the pond safely while blindfolded. Part of our group whispered the correct directions softly. I guess P.J. didn't hear our still small voices as the part of our group representing temptation led P.J. off the dock and into the water. He was not pleased as he had on his new shoes. Oh well, lesson learned! After the lesson, we ate our tin foil dinners that had been cooking in the fire pit. Once it got dark, we had SMORES with giant marshmellows. What a fun evening!!
